Anthea Kam — Young Ambassador
Anthea has been involved with Crafting Smiles since its early development, contributing a younger-generation perspective on community, volunteering, belonging and social value. She represents Crafting Smiles in selected community and external engagements, and has contributed to conversations with academic and public-sector partners around community participation, research and social impact. Through these experiences, she continues to explore how younger people can contribute meaningfully to community life.

About Us
Founder Story
Hi, I’m Ron, founder of Crafting Smiles® .
This initiative began with a simple act of community care. After my son’s classmate underwent brain surgery in the UK, I made a small handmade gift for her as a gesture of support. Seeing the comfort it brought to the child and her family revealed how even small handmade items can carry meaning, connection, and care.

What started as a personal act of kindness gradually evolved into a wider community effort — Over time, Crafting Smiles evolved beyond handmade donations into a wider community participation ecosystem, connecting creativity, wellbeing, belonging and social contribution across different communities.

Cross-Community Collaboration
Exploring collaborative wellbeing activities alongside Tree of Life Balloon Art and JAT Hub CIC, including the launch of the Breathe Wellbeing Community pilot to connect students, volunteers and local communities through creativity, wellbeing and participation.
